What we collect
Information you give us. When you complete the questionnaire we collect your name, email address, mobile number, town or postcode, and the answers you give about your background and circumstances: your current situation, trade experience, whether you would work in the business yourself, whether it would be full time, your available funds, any adverse credit history you declare, your timescale, and anything you add in the message box.
Technical information. When you use the site or submit the form we collect your IP address, information about your device and browser, and how you arrived at the site, including referral source and campaign tags.
How we use it
- To assess your franchise application and decide whether to send you the brochure and take a conversation forward. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running and protecting our franchise recruitment.
- To contact you about your enquiry, by email or phone, using the details you provide. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
- To verify the information you give us. This can include checks with suppliers, referees and industry contacts as part of assessing an application. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in taking on the right franchisees.
- To keep a record of applications and the answers given with them. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping accurate records of our recruitment decisions.
- To protect the site against spam and misuse, and to understand where enquiries come from so we can run our advertising effectively. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in operating the site securely and efficiently.
We do not use your information for automated decision making. Every application is reviewed by a person.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who host this website, store our data and send email on our instructions.
- Suppliers, referees and industry contacts, where we are verifying information given in an application.
- Companies in our group, including Tatton Fencing Ltd, where relevant to your application.
- Our professional advisers, including legal and accountancy advisers.
- Authorities and regulators where we are required to by law.
We do not sell your information to anyone.
How long we keep it
If your application does not go ahead, we keep your details for up to 24 months from our last contact, so we can pick the conversation back up if circumstances change and keep a record of our decisions. If you become a franchisee, we keep your information for the duration of our relationship and for the periods required by law afterwards.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these, email hello@tattonfranchising.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
International transfers
